Matchy, matchy...

I don't usually tend to do matchy matchy outfits, but there is something about ivory/creme/camel tones all together. I think it's fresh, subtle, peaceful, and delicate, don't you agree? Since the garments are incredibly neutral I decided that it was ok to wear both my snakeskin boots and clutch. This should never be done with a mixed color outfit (too much), maybe you could get away with an all black one. I added a military jacket to add contrast between subtle and strong.
This was my last day in the city :( I can't wait to go again! I had a great day full of shopping. I finally got a garment from the Marni at H&M collection, I literally went over five H&M stores to find a nice one, I guess it was worth it. Well, for the weekend I'm planning to find editorial inspiration and be extremely creative with it. Have a good weekend!

palm necessities

Since I saw the Versace for H&M palm tree trousers I felt the need of having palms at my legs. Thus, as soon as I saw this one at Zara I didn't think about it twice. It was a mandatory purchase. Plus, it has turquoise flowers, the cherry on top. I paired it with this Chanel-like blazer to emphasize the turquoise in the outfit, and with color less accessories and shirt. An awesome outfit for a night out! What do you think?!

SoHo
Ohh, how much I missed you New York! Every time I come here, I get this feeling that I really belong here. It's weird actually, I don't feel like a tourist anymore, even though I always have my camera with me. I don't get lost anymore, and I walk with confidence, important New Yorker qualities. Soon enough my address will actually be a New Yorker one.
This is a perfect outfit for the SoHo vibe, in my opinion. I spent almost the entire day traveling and doing some nice shopping at SoHo during the night. A perfect oxford white shirt (seriously that's how it's called) and camel men shoes, both very simple, paired with colorful lilac jeans and tangerine shopper. Tomorrow I'll just relax, walk around and maybe some more shopping ;)

I can get my hands on it!
These are my favorites garments and accessories from the Marni at H&M collection. I know, I know the collection came out the 8th, but poor me, I haven't had a chance to get my hands on it. However, I'm happy that I will finally do this Wednesday. I going to the city for a small break and hopefully a big shopping spree! The weather is going to be fantastic, I can't wait to wear my Spring garments!

Snakeskin Blocking
Instead of color blocking, snakeskin blocking... Blocking my deep blue sweater with snakeskin print trousers and pairing them with blue velvet loafers to make the blue the statement of the outfit. The weather was not warm enough to make me take off my gloves; my hands are the coldest part of my body, thus I decided to add gloves as an accessory. As a necklace, my newest accessory obsession, Zara's studded leather choker. It's really from last season but I scored it at the sales ;^) I'm curious to know, do you guys consider snakeskin as last season? I think is still on fire!

GT's 1st year!
So so happy that I
have been blogging for a year now! Exactly 1 year ago I decided that it was
time to share my passion with the world and most importantly with the people
like me, the people that take fashion seriously, think of it as art, and use it
as self expression. Blogging is an incredible experience; being able to
communicate your thoughts, what inspires you, your way in fashion, and your
meaning of great fashion to so many other people is just amazing. But what it
is really amazing is the impressions from the readers; the "I love you
blog", and "I love your style" comments that not even make my
day but also my week. I really want to thank all of you that have followed
Garment Traveling, you guys are my motivation to keep doing it :) When I
started GT I thought of it like once a week, now it has become my breakfast,
lunch and dinner, it is a huge part of my daily life, and most importantly it
makes incredibly happy! I'm excited and for this coming year and all the new
experiences that will come with it!
